February Wishlist

1. Square Toe Ankle Boots (ASOS) / 2. Faux Fur Sleeve Leather Jackets (ASOS) / 3. Denim Dress (Topshop) / 4. Leopard Brogues (New Look) / 5. Statement T-Shirt (ISWAI) / 6. Stripe Shirt (Zara) / 7. Tiger Midi Dress (www.daisystreet.co.uk) / 8. Flatform Trainers (Office) / 9. Jeffrey Campbell Wedges (Office)

It's soooo hard not to spend with all these little delights trying to tempt me but I must stay strong... As I'm interning at the moment this means I'm not working many hours at my usual job so less pennies for me but I'm taking those little steps closer to following my dream so I won't complain! It just means I'm have to be a little more wise with my spending habits, something I'm not too great at... I have returned so many impulse buys from my sale sprees though that I feel it's acceptable to treat myself to something I really really want! Seeing as I'm being so sensible I'm trying to shop for items I'll get lots of wear out of and can style into different looks day to day. First pick that I feel I need in my life is the faux fur sleeve leather jacket from ASOS. It will be perfect for layering up over midi dresses right now as I seem to have issues with the length of most of my coats making me look frumpy when teamed with a midi. I love that it's a little bit different with the faux fur sleeves too. I'm sure you'll be seeing it in future posts!

Believe In Yourself And You Can Achieve Anything

I've been a sucker for anything Disney related for as long as I can remember, ever since the trips to Disney World as a little girl where I got to live the dream and meet all my favourite characters! I'm not ashamed to say I'm still as big a fan as ever, my Christmas tree was even adorned with miniature Princess figures. So when I came across the Disney Couture brand on ASOS a while back I was smitten but haven't made a purchase until recently. The prices are a little steep compared to what I'd normally pay for jewellery but there are some really beautiful pieces if you fancy indulging yourself every once in a while... (or grab yourself a bargain in the sale like I did!) It's probably a 'love it or hate it' kind of thing, with it perhaps being a little too much on the side of costume jewellery for some but I'm definitely a fan with my taste in accessories varies pretty much day to day depending on my mood and outfit. This 'Believe' ring is perfect when I'm feeling a fun, casual look but I tend to keep the rest of my jewellery to a minimum as it's quite a statement piece :)

Go Kimono

I first spotted this kimono in Matalan before Christmas and forgetting all about it I was delighted to find it had gone into the January sales for 50% off (yay!). I've not actually worn it yet so I'll be sure to include it in one of my future outfit posts but I just wanted to share the kimono love. There's loads of these styles about right now in some beautiful sheer prints but I loved the velvet flocking on this fabric and you can never go wrong with classic black! It will be pretty versatile when it comes to styling, I'm planning on wearing it more casual for work with skinny jeans or glamming it up with a bit of sparkle for evening drinks with the girls.

January Wish List

1. There is nothing better than snuggling up in an all-in-one when you get home from work or chilling out at the weekends and this Jack Wills phillimore style would be perfect for keeping warm / 2. I've been on the hunt for my perfect pair of Chelsea boots for a while and this pair from ASOS combine that style with the Western trend for S/S '13 / 3. Boy London crop top / 4. Tweed blazer from Jack Wills... Although any tweed blazer would do! I think it will be perfect to smarten up a casual outfit in Spring / 5. Like my clothing, I like to invest in quality beauty products so I'm on the hunt for a flawless foundation / 6. The midi-dress, perfect trend to take from winter through to spring / 7. These Ted Baker rings are absolutely adorable and such a simple statement piece of jewellery / 8. I wore my last pair of VW shoes to death so I think it's about time I considered investing in a new pair for this year / 9. Finally, I've been absolutely addicted to wearing my disco pants from American Apparel ever since I got them, they are ideal for cold nights out this time of year but also perfect during the day to dress down and layer up with casual t-shirts and knitwear. They are a staple item in my wardrobe and I want them in pretty much every colour, if only my budget could stretch to that!

When it comes to money matters, I'm feeling the pinch this January, as I'm sure a lot of you out there are too. My mind should be set on saving but I'm finding more temptation than ever with the new collections coming through for spring, and find myself looking forward to the change in season and lusting after a brighter wardrobe. As much as I try, I'm a terrible saver and I love to shop so my wish list is pretty much never ending. This month, I'm trying to be good (although there still seems to be a parcel arriving every other day.. Oops) and by that logic, when I do splurge, I'm in the mind set to buy staple pieces whether that be items of clothing or new beauty products. I often find that if I invest in classic pieces, I'll wear it far more often and get my money's worth and when it comes to clothing these investments can be updated season to season with on-trend pieces.
